Sandy Bay Beach
A stunning beach with lovely views of Arran and Largs Marina perfect for a dip in the sea, building sandcastles and a picnic.
Largs Marina
With a small selection of sailing shops and fantastic restaurants this is a lovely walk situated at the opposite end of the promenade its approx an hour walk but a lovely walk at that and once there you can enjoy fantastic food at Scotts Largs or even try some water-sports with facilities for hire.
Vikingar Tourist Attraction
Local leisure centre with gym facilities, swimming pool but also the viking museum were you can learn how the vikings used to live and all about the battle of largs.

Ferry to the Island of Cumbrae
After a short walk along the promenade you can enjoy a 15 min ferry trip over to the beautiful quiet island of Cumbrae. Here you can hop the bus to the town of Millport and explore what Millport has to offer from cafes, bars, putting, beautiful beaches, water-sports and even bike hire so you can cycle round the island (electric bikes also available).
Largs Museum
The Largs Museum is run by volunteers from the Largs Historical Society.Since 1975 it has been housed in one of the oldest building in Largs.

Kelburn Country Park
Set in the beautiful grounds of Kelburn Castle. Their trails will lead you to new adventures. A place to stimulate the imagination in all of us! With Events, Trails, massive Play Parks, Avery and many other exciting attractions. Kelburn Castle is aways worth a visit.
Largs Yacht Haven
Largs Yacht Haven boasts a 700 berth marina with full support services for every yachting need. Facilities also include a 70 ton hoist, 24 hour diesel, petrol and gas.
Ashore, the unique marine village offers a variety of food and drink, with public seafront walks and ample car parking. The marina hosts many sailing championships throughout the year and is home to Scotland's national event centre. Learn to sail and dive from one of Scotland's finest marinas. You can walk along the promenade approx 50 mins walk to the marina or nip along in the car as it had ample parking.
RSPB Scotland
This wetland reserve is an ideal spot to get away from it all and enjoy some amazing wildlife with the family.
As one of the few wetlands left in west Scotland, Lochwinnoch is the perfect spot to watch whooper swans, wigeons and a wide variety of ducks during the winter months and in spring you won't want to miss the elaborate displays of the great crested grebes.
Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park: Castle Temple Visitor Centre and Country Park
Glasgow's nearest fully accessible countryside attraction for a healthy family fun day out for lochside or woodland walks or outdoor activities in Scotland's largest Regional Park.
On the scenic shores of Castle Semple Loch beside cycle route 7 from Glasgow and Irvine and only 1 mile from Lochwinnoch Railway Station. It is one of three Visitor Centres in the Regional Park, they all have FREE parking and entry, sign posted woodland walks and nature trails. Easy wildlife watching, indoor and outdoor attractions, refreshments, gift shops and a Ranger Service.
Isle of Arran
You can drive to Ardrossan a short 20 mins drive and board the ferry to Arran where you can spend the day touring the island, visiting its many attractions including its own Whiskey distillery. We would recommend pre-booking the ferry especially in the peak seasons as it can be busy. You do not need to take your car on the ferry you can park at the ferry terminal or even take the bus from Largs and board by foot or bike and head over to the beautiful island of Arran.
WHAT TO SEE BY TRAIN
There is also the option of hopping on the train to Glasgow City Centre where there is a massive variety of shopping, food, museums, cinemas, sports stadiums and everything you can possibly think of doing all for a short 50 mins train journey. The Train is a short 30 mins walk from Bellevue Apartment or a short 5 min drive. There is parking available at the station and also on road parking nearby the station.
